My journey in the beauty industry began while I was still in cosmetology school, working as a Beauty Advisor at Ulta Beauty. After graduating and becoming a licensed cosmetologist in 2018, I stepped into the role of Benefit Cosmetics Arch Expert, where I began developing my expertise in brows and discovering the artistry that would eventually become the foundation of my career.

Around that same time, at just 20 years old and already navigating motherhood, I launched my first company, Koko Marie Cosmetics—a cosmetics and eyelash brand I built from the ground up. I managed every aspect of the business myself and reached customers across the country. After about six months, I made the decision to close that chapter, but the experience gave me my first real education in entrepreneurship, branding, and what it meant to build something of my own.

I continued growing as an Arch Expert at Ulta Beauty until 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic led to my furlough, which ultimately became permanent. What initially felt like an unexpected ending became an opportunity to create a career on my own terms.

With the experience I had gained behind the brow bar, the lessons from my first business, and a growing desire to build a life that allowed both my career and my family to thrive, Koko Marie Beauty was born.

Since then, both my business and my family have grown alongside one another. Motherhood has shaped the way I define success—not simply by what I can build, but by the freedom, stability, and example that building it can create.

What began as a way to continue doing what I loved outside of corporate beauty has evolved into a brand rooted in brow artistry, education, and entrepreneurship. Every chapter—from Beauty Advisor, to Arch Expert, to first-time founder, to motherhood, to building Koko Marie Beauty—has shaped the artist, educator, and founder I am today.
